nov 2024I had this issue a few years back. Bought a license through Amazon, which then basically takes over your account so you can only renew through them. Big mistake.
I had to contact Microsoft support who eventually unlinked the account so it was free from Amazon's clutches. Now I no longer buy renewals from Amazon.
So yeah, I'm in on this deal.
I buy these every year and they are not a Newegg subscription. It's just a code that I then redeem on Microsoft's site. You need to cancel the sub on Amazon then just login to Microsoft's account management and redeem it there. Check the previous slickdeals threads for similar deals if you need more details. There is a conversation about Amazons shit sub management in almost all of them
