i went into this thinking yeah ive played rpgs before ill be fine and somehow within two hours i had angered an entire town, lost a companion and accidentally started a fight i absolutely could not win
thats basically the intended experience the game doesnt guide you gently it just lets you make decisions and then fully commits to the consequences
what got me is that i didnt even realize i was making a major decision it felt like a casual dialogue choice and suddenly everything spiraled
the writing does that on purpose it presents choices naturally but the world reacts like they actually matter not like filler options
yeah and there’s no reload safety net built into the design philosophy you can reload but the game clearly expects you to live with your mistakes
