I feel bad saying this because the art is insane, like genuinely one of the best pixel styles I’ve seen… but I keep putting the game down after like 40 minutes. It just doesn’t hook me gameplay-wise
Nah don’t feel bad, that’s a super common take. The pacing is REALLY slow at the start like it takes its sweet time before things open up even a little
Yeah but even when it opens up, i kinda agree it changes that much it still feels like walking, talking, a bit of combat, repeat
i think it depends on what you looking for if you came in expecting something like fast-paced action RPG, its gonna feel like a slog its more about atmosphere and story buildup
thats probably it i went in thinking zelda-ish but indie and instead got interactive slow burn novel with some combat sprinkled in
