i remember when this game first got announced and everyone thought “Pinocchio Soulslike” sounded like a joke. Then it came out and suddenly people were saying its one of the best non-FromSoftware Souls games
yeah i went in expecting a weird gimmick and ended up getting completely hooked the combat feels way tighter than most souls clones
that’s the thing that surprised me too most Soulslikes feel a little off compared to FromSoft games but this one actually gets the rhythm of combat right
the parry system is the real skill check once you start landing perfect guards the combat suddenly clicks
