as a developer myself, i can usually understand why certain things happen during a project and Pax Dei is no exception. the core issue: Pax Dei isnt really a full game yet. it looks great, the world is beautiful, the systems have potential… but right now, the only real activities are leveling skills and building a house. and the question becomes: to what end? whats the purpose?
their development pace is slow by modern standards, which usually means one of two things: the team is fairly small, or they prioritize quality over quantity, the dream scenario for many devs
honestly, i think they’re working on the things they need to, not the things players want immediately. and that’s fine, as long as both the devs and their investors understand the path they’re taking
@driver8791 i hope ur right. i bought it and spent a couple of weeks building a little settlement. took a break to play other games, and I just havent felt pulled back in yet. i like the building freedom and style, but the height limits kill my creativity. i'd love a “no gravity” or “creative mode” just to build wild, fantasy structures, maybe someday....
@driver8791 right now the game is basically leveling just for the sake of leveling. u can craft high-end gear and run some dungeons, but thats about the full loop. still, the foundation is rock solid. if the devs continue adding meaningful content, theres huge potential for the game to become something special
@driver8791 i’m confident the devs knows exactly what they’re building, the problem is that some players dont really understand how game development works
