I don’t even know how to feel about the Gothic 1 Remake. On one hand, finally people get to experience it… on the other, I’m lowkey scared they’re gonna smooth out everything that made it special
thats exactly the fear the original was janky yes but that jank was the identity if they over polish it it might lose that weird charm
as someone who never played the original im honestly glad if they modernize it a bit i tried going back and it felt borderline unplayable for me
If they turn the combat into standard modern “dodge-roll spam + light/heavy attack” I’m gonna be so disappointed
yeah the original had that weird timing-based system where you had to actually commit to swings. It felt awkward at first but kinda rewarding once it clicked
not gonna lie that system sounds like pain 😭 id rather have something smoother even if it’s more generic
