i just got an eletric car, can’t believe it took me so much time, but i was really looking for a charger, my buddies gave some suggestions, still don’t know which charger is better in context... does anyone has any plus tips? need a bit of guidance on this
yo, welcome to the EV club! out of curiosity, which car did u get? some models handle 40A like a champ, others cap at 32A so you’d be wasting potential. i’ve had the EVIQO for 6 months now, charging a Chevy Bolt daily and no regrets-super consistent

jul 2025Hey, @iPeter! Congrats on your EV! 🚗⚡ That’s a big step, and we’re happy to help however we can. The EVIQO Level 2 is a solid choice with great specs-Wi-Fi smart control, 40A output, and certified safety.
To figure out if it's the right fit, it’s worth checking your vehicle’s max charging rate and what plug type it supports (EVIQO uses J1772). Also, we suggest looking at customer reviews, both here and on the manufacturer’s page, and even checking with your car brand’s support site-they usually have compatibility tables or charger suggestions. Let us know your car model if you want a more detailed reply 😊
thanks, man! yeah i just got a 2023 hyundai ioniq 5, loving it so far. still learning the ropes tho. i heard it can take up to 10.9kW on level 2, so i figured a 40A charger would be safe? just not sure about all these plug types and wiring stuff, kinda overwhelming ngl, any tips on install or setup?
alright, if your car is something like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 or the Mustang Mach-E, the EVIQO will work just fine - both support 40A Level 2. the app’s a bit clunky, ngl, but once it's set, it runs smooth. just make sure your panel supports 240V @ 40A and that you’re using a good NEMA 14-50 outlet.
you might wanna check your manufacturer’s official page - like Ford’s EV charger compatibility page... page - to confirm supported amps and plug specs. that helped me decide! 🔧
