Is it still worth building a gaming PC in 2025 or just get a prebuilt?

Tbh I’ve been looking at prices lately and prebuilt PCs seem way better than a few yrs ago. Between GPU prices, warranty and the time it takes to build, idk if building is even worth it anymore. Anyone here built a rig recently? Was it actually worth it or nah?

Back in 2021 building was hell, GPUs costed more than rent. Now it’s actually chill again. If u enjoy the process, go for it. If not, prebuilt is probs the move

Bruh, I’ve been building since the 90s. Only advice: don’t cheap out on the PSU or cooling, doesn’t matter if it’s prebuilt or custom. That’s where ppl get burned, literally lol

Hot take: unless ur into esports, just buy a solid gaming laptop. Cheaper, portable, no need for a full setup. Built rigs are overrated imo

Lowkey, just wait till Black Friday. Prebuilts get insane discounts. Built my cousin a rig last year and the prebuilt deals were so good I almost regretted it

Still worth building if u care about customization. Prebuilts usually cheap out on PSU and mobos, then u end up upgrading anyway. Built my rig last month and saved like $300 vs an Alienware lol

Idk man, prebuilts ain’t that bad rn. Picked up a Legion tower at Best Buy on sale and it’s a beast. Plus got 3 yr warranty, which u don’t get when u build

Yeah but that warranty won’t save u when they slap in slow RAM or a trash cooler. My buddy’s Legion was overheating in like 6 months 💀
