is it open-world or more linear?
@Coyote semi-open, hub areas connect to larger regions, tons of secrets to find
@Coyote yep, think Elden Ring lite, big enough to explore but not overwhelming
how’s performance on console?
@Gojo2076 runs great on PS5, buttery smooth at 60fps
Finished my playthrough in one night, the combat is smooth, the fire-based abilities look insane in motion, especially during boss fights. the last fight was pure chaos in the best way possible.
@liam9876 yeah, the combat is great but the stamina management feels a little punishing early on, once you upgrade endurance though, everything starts clicking and you feel like a literal flame god
@John7419 can we talk about the soundtrack? that orchestral score during the Ashen Citadel fight gave me chills. easily one of the best OSTs I’ve heard in an indie ARPG
@eddie098777 agree with that, the game nails the atmosphere, it’s like Dark Souls meets Prince of Persia but with a more arcadey pace, I just wish the camera wasn’t so close during certain boss moves
@Dave_nyc I think the elemental upgrade tree is underrated, you can go full fire melee, or spec into ranged flame whips, totally changes how you play. the replay value’s actually pretty high because of it.
@johnny_games anyone else feel like the difficulty spikes out of nowhere around mid-game? I breezed through Act 1, then suddenly got wrecked by the twin golems, needed a full gear respec to survive
@Sparrow4000 I’m 20 hours in and still discovering secrets in older zones. some of those hidden ruins have crazy lore entries, reminds me of Elden Ring’s environmental storytelling but more focused
@ninjapro honestly, for a new IP this exceeded my expectations. if the devs keep updating it with new elemental paths or DLC, it could become one of the best mid-tier action RPGs this year, totally worth even at full price
