I’ve been eyeing these for my upcoming 12-hour flight. I see they are on sale for $199 (which is a steal for Bose), but I’m worried about that 'Cypress Green' color. Does it look like a muddy olive in person, or is it more of a sleek, premium forest green?
@FoxOfTheBug1986 I just got mine yesterday! It’s definitely more of a premium forest green. It has a matte finish that looks way better than the standard black or white. In low light, it looks almost dark grey, but in the sun, that green really pops. If you’re worried about it looking cheap, don’t be.
@MasterChief That’s good to hear! My other concern is the 24-hour battery life. Some of the newer Sony models are pushing 30+, so I’m wondering if 24 is actually enough for a long trip once you factor in the Active Noise Cancelling. How fast do they actually charge if I run out mid-flight?
@FoxOfTheBug1986 To be honest, I haven't hit 0% yet, but 24 hours is plenty for a full day of travel. They have a quick-charge feature—usually about 15 minutes of charging gives you a few hours of playback. Plus, the ANC on these is top-tier. I wore them next to a vacuum cleaner today and couldn't hear a thing. It’ll handle a plane engine no problem.
@MasterChief You're selling me on them! One last thing—how’s the 'Deep Bass'? Bose used to be known for being a bit flat/neutral. I listen to a lot of hip-hop and podcasts, so I need that punch without it washing out the voices.
@FoxOfTheBug1986 They’ve definitely bumped up the bass on this version. It’s punchy but 'clean'—it doesn't rattle your brain like some cheap bass-heavy brands. You can also tweak the EQ in the Bose app to boost the mids for your podcasts. For $199, honestly, just pull the trigger. You won't find better ANC at this price point.
