I’ve always been curious about MMO mice like this. Twelve buttons on the side feels like you’re basically strapping a tiny keyboard to your thumb. Do people actually use all of those in real games or does half of it end up unused?
If you play something like World of Warcraft or Final Fantasy XIV, those side buttons are actually a lifesaver. Once you map abilities to them, you can keep your left hand focused on movement and your right thumb handles a ton of skills
yeah the learning curve is weird though when i first got an MMO mouse i kept hitting the wrong button constantly for like a week
Same experience here. It feels chaotic at first but eventually muscle memory kicks in and suddenly you’re wondering how you ever played without it
