i know this thing is stacked but at nearly $800 its no longer competing with the steam deck its creeping into gaming laptop on sale territory
true but the deck oled tops out way lower performance wise. Z1 Extreme + 32GB RAM + 120Hz screen is a completely different class
i get that, but the psychological barrier is real $399 $549 feels impulsive. $800 makes people hesitate and compare
@Coyote agree this isnt a buy it just because handheld its for people who already know they want max settings portable and are okay paying for it
steamOS actually makes this appealing to people who dont want to tinker thats the irony linux but less work than windows
@yopi777 ikr you dont feel like you using linux you feel like you’re using a console that happens to run pc games
thats the magic as long as proton keeps improving most users wont even think about what OS they on
and when something doesnt work you just shrug and play something else which is already how console players think
