No, unfortunately, this model isn't ideal for using essential oils.
Considering that I found this model here where you can add essential oil. The price isn't the same, but it's on sale.
I like the ease of use, the control of the amount of humidity it puts out, and the small footprint. Also, this is way easier to clean that the last humidifier I had.
