1TB sounds fine until you install one COD, one RPG and your SSD is already gasping
especially if you keep recordings or mod folders. i had Baldur’s Gate + mods and it basically annexed my drive
the review saying upgrades are a pain is the part that would make me hesitate im not trying to do laptop surgery just to add a second ssd
a 5080 laptop for $1999 is giving the monkey’s paw curled vibes. like yeah you got the GPU but what did you trade? your fan noise? your ability to open the bottom cover? your firstborn?
the trade is always the same ram and storage plus whatever msi considers serviceability they’ll give you the horsepower and then make you fight for everything else
still tho… if you’re shopping performance per dollar, this is disgusting value. like morally questionable value
