im honestly struggling to process that price not because its high but because its low for what this machine is an RTX 5090 paired with an ultra 9 HX in an 18 inch chassis should not be sitting under 3k even beat up my brain keeps waiting for the catch
1. GamerGamerGamer· jan 20
the catch is literally written as fair though that word scares people more than it probably should but its still doing emotional damage i keep imagining some previous owner rage slamming the lid
  1. Broccoli· jan 20
i get that fear but at the same time… dents dont tank performance if the internals are clean and the cooling system isnt compromised, cosmetic damage feels like a tax im willing to pay

resale is the only thing that gives me pause you basically accepting that this machine is yours until it dies because flipping a visibly rough flagship laptop later is not going to be fun
      1. JessePinkman· jan 20
true but at this discount im already treating it like a long term workstation not an asset
martingale· jan 20
i know it technically folds but calling this a laptop feels dishonest this is a desktop replacement that just happens to close nobody is using this on their lap unless they hate themselves

exactly the moment you see the 18 inch panel and that power brick you realize this thing lives on desks and moves between rooms at best
  1. Ryle47· jan 20
that said the portability still matters being able to take this level of power to a different house, studio or office without rebuilding a pc is the whole point
