Has anyone tested this model? I'm considering buying it for my home office, but I don't know if it actually cools or if it's just a fan with water.
I used one of these last summer. It helps to cool the immediate area, especially if you put ice in the reservoir. But don’t expect it to cool an entire room like a traditional air conditioner.
I live in Jackson, and the humidity here is high. These evaporative coolers don’t work so well in humid environments. They’re more effective in dry climates.
