i noticed they’re doing first person perspective for this one that always splits the horror community because some people think silent hill should stay third person like the older games
personally im fine with it first person horror games can be incredibly immersive if they done right when you cant see what’s behind you the tension goes way up
true but part of the identity of classic silent hill was the fixed or over the shoulder camera angles
yeah but gaming design evolves if the atmosphere and storytelling are strong the camera perspective becomes less important
also modern horror players are used to first person now because of games like outlast, amnesia and resident evil 7
thats fair if they pull off the atmosphere correctly, the perspective probably wont matter much
the pocket television mechanic sounds bizarre in a very silent hill way using a small TV to tune into unstable signals and uncover clues feels like the kind of weird symbolic thing the series has always loved
