So, this enclosure gets its power straight from the USB port. Most ssds will be just fine with that. But for high-performance nvme drives that need more juice, make sure the USB ports on your computer can handle it!

No way. mSATA has a different key type and physical dimensions compared to the m.2 NVMe slot.
