HD 599 was my first open back and i genuinely didnt understand what people meant by wide sound until i put them on it felt like the music stepped out of my head instead of being injected directly into my skull

i learned that the hard way when my partner asked why my music sounded like it was floating around the room

open back life is amazing but deeply antisocial you trade privacy for realism

sennheiser velour pads are criminally underrated ive done 6–8 hour sessions in HD 599s without hot ears or clamp fatigue

same huge head, glasses wearer, zero pain that alone made them worth keeping for me
