this got off guard, i’m tempted to getting it, was reading the reviews and it says camera’s solid for the price, but battery claims always feel... optimistic. anyone pick up a previous model and run into problems with video quality or range?
@Dave_nyc i've tested both the skyrover X1 and the earlier M4, battery life really depends on how you fly. for my X1, normal cruising got me close to 25 minutes, but hovering and lots of take-offs drained it way faster (closer to 20–22 minutes per battery). documentation says the batteries auto-discharge after charging (like DJI’s “smart” batteries), so you’ll never get a true “full-charge” flight unless you time it perfectly. for range, i hit a little signal glitch past 3.5 km, but the FPV feed stayed usable and the return-to-home (RTH) kicked in reliably. the camera’s genuinely sharp in good light, just make sure you have a fast SD card, there’s no built-in memory if you forget
@Dave_nyc i got the X1 recently, video looks sharp and the range is good for the price, battery lasts less than advertised, especially if you hover a lot, but overall i'm happy with it
