feel like this game slipped under the radar way too hard. It’s not perfect, but the whole french revolution + robots thing is such a cool twist that i expected people to talk about it more
i think it got overshadowed because people instantly compare every souls like to fromsoftware games if its not hitting that same level, people just label it mid and move on
thats fair but i think that comparison is kind of unfair too if you judge it on its own, the setting and mechanics actually stand out more than people give it credit for
yeah especially the automaton aesthetic fighting mechanical enemies instead of the usual undead/monsters gives it a different vibe even if the core loop is familiar
