Been playing Terraria on Switch for a few months now. Bought it because I travel a lot for work, and lugging my laptop wasn’t cutting it anymore. Switch seemed perfect for quick sessions, but honestly... it’s a mixed bag. Pros: Portable, runs smoothly most of the time, great for plane rides or waiting around. Cons: joy-con controls can feel clunky, especially when mining/building. Precision’s tough. I miss mods too, they’re half the fun on pc. If you’re someone who plays casually and needs portability, it’s solid. But if you want a “full” Terraria experience, stick to pc.
How’s the performance when things get crazy, like boss fights or big builds? I heard the switch version lags a bit when the screen gets crowded.
Yeah, it can lag a bit, especially late game. Not game breaking, but noticeable. If you’re a perfectionist or doing heavy builds, it might bug you.
Would y’all say it’s better than minecraft on switch?
If you want more crafting/building freedom, Minecraft. If you like exploration, bosses, and progression, Terraria is a better pick.
