i bought the trilogy on sale thinking nice ill casually go through all three im now 40+ hours deep, halfway through the second game and i genuinely feel like I’ve been on a nonstop expedition with no break
yeah playing them back to back hits different. each game is already a full journey so stacking them makes it feel like Lara’s life is just constant suffering with zero downtime
i tried doing that and had to take a break after the first one not because it was bad but because the pacing is so intense
what got me wasnt the story it was the gameplay loop fatigue climb > fight > loot > puzzle > repeat its great at but after 30+ hours your brain starts predicting everything
i actually had the opposite experience playing them together made Lara’s growth feel way more natural you really see her go from barely surviving to hyper competent problem solver with trauma
thats the best part honestly the continuity even small mechanics feel like they evolve you not just playing three games you watching a character adapt over time
